1Contestant must be a minimum of 20 years of age and no older than 28 years of age by January 1st of competition year.  Proof of age required.

2Contestant must be at least 5'9" tall.  Although, The Mister Texas Organization truly believes that Mister Texas could come in all shapes and sizes, this requirement is so the winner of the Mister Texas Competition will meet the minimum height requirements of subsequent competitions, which he may participate within, such as Mister USA, Mister World, or Mister International.

3Contestant must be a natural-born male.

4Contestant must be a U.S. citizen and a resident of the U.S. and its territories including Guam, Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands, American Samoa, & Northern Marianas).  Proof of Texas residency will be required.  Preference awarded to contestants born within the state of Texas.

5Contestant must be of good health & moral character.

6Contestant must have a handsome face and well-toned body.

7Contestant must have pleasant personality and good manners.

8Contestant must be single, never have been married and must have never fathered a child.

19Contestant must never have been convicted of a felony crime.

10Contestant must possess very good communication skills in English.  Preference awarded to contestants who can speak more than one language, particularly the 2nd most diplomatic language of French OR the 2nd most used language in the world, Spanish.

11Contestant must not be bound by any agreement that would prevent him from signing and fulfilling the contestant contract.

12Contestant will be subject to an entry fee of $500.00 to be paid 3 months prior to the competition in which he is to compete.  The entry fee is non-refundable if the contestant withdraws from or fails to participate in the competition.  The entry fee is necessary to cover production expenses, advertising, venue rentals, printing, administrative work, gifts and prizes, and miscellaneous operational expenses.

13Contestant must provide his own transportation to and from host city.

14Contestant must provide his own hotel accommodations, while in the host city (or share with roommate) for the three-day event.  The Mister Texas Organization will attempt to secure reduced hotel rates within the host city, when possible, and will inform all contestants of said rates.

15Contestant must never have nor will he during his reign pose for any photography, video or film associated with nudity (exposure of genitals) or pornography.  Nor has he ever or is presently involved with any type of employment involving partial or full nudity (exception is modeling work void of exposure of genitals, such as bodybuilding shows, swimwear ads, etc.).  Hence, contestant must provide The Mister Texas Organization copies of photographs/videos in which the contestant has received compensation for exposing his body for final determination by The Mister Texas Organization as to the contestant’s eligibility to compete in the Mister Texas Competition.

16Contestant agrees to abide by all rules and regulations of Mister Texas Competition.

17Contestant will permit The Mister Texas Organization and its licensees the right to use the contestant's photograph for publicity purposes in connection with all Mister Texas competitions.

18Contestant will permit The Mister Texas Organization and its licensees to film or videotape any portion or all of the competition.

19Contestant understands that The Mister Texas Organizationreserves the right to change the dates & location of the Mister Texas Competition.

20Contestant understands that Mister Texas reserves the right to deny an applicant for whatever reason.

21Contestant understands that if selected a winner of his competition, that for one year his professional affairs, as said winner, will be under the sole management of The Mister Texas Organization and /or its licensees and that he will not give any written or oral endorsements commercially, without the expressed permission of said same. Contestant further acknowledges that all rights for any appearances, endorsements, speaking engagements, acting roles, etc. resulting from winning or being a contestant in any regional, state or international competition affiliated with The Mister Texas Organization shall belong exclusively to same.

22These rules and regulations are subject to modification, as needed, without prior notice.  The Mister Texas Organization reserves the right to make said modifications at its sole discretion.
